CNCA
Embassy Logistic Terms: CNCA
A number of countries in Africa, among which Angola, require a waiver document for all import shipments. For example, a CNCA (Conselho Nacional de Carregadores de Angola) is required for all shipments going to Angola. This way the authorities in Angola have access to all information in the “pre-arrival phase”.
The information contained in the waiver document, is as follows; Shipper and consignee names, mode of transport, description of the cargo and its value, name of the transport vessel and the cost of shipment. The authorities in the country of destination must be in possession of the waiver document prior to arrival of the vessel.
Each country has their own regulations for waiver documentation and in fact, some countries have a different name for the document.
The ports in Angola for which a CNCA is required are:
- Luanda
- Cabinda
- Lobito
- Soyo
